LECTURES

In week 5, Mr. Fauzi gave us a video tutorial on how edit lighting, match color to image, saturation, gaussian blur, to edit Shazam into the Hearst mansion by Mr.Martin. The pen tool is also used to add shadows and create a reflection with ripple effect.

PRACTICAL

Digitalization

Steps

First I used the quick selection tool to crop out shazam and placed him perspectively correct leaning on the wall. Next i color  match shazam to the background and added noise to make it even more realistic. I also replicated shazam, mirror him, and used the eraser tool to erase his foot to create a reflection. Adding ripple effect and lowering down the saturation made it even more realistic.

Next, I did the same steps with my own picture.

REFLECTION

After doing this assignment, I learned quite a lot on how to use Adobe Photoshop such as how to make shadows using gaussian blur, making the color match the background, and etc. It was a lot of fun creating this project as it was quite easy. The only problem I had was the different setting my Macbook laptop had with the laptop Mr.Fauzi had. Other than that, through this project i get to learn a bit more about Photoshop's tools.
