LECTURES
Before starting on our projects, Mr.Hafiz introduced us to adobe photoshop by giving us videos to watch, showing us some past student's work to see what we're going to do in the future, and gave us the module briefing through google classroom.

PRACTICAL
Exercise (Week 1)
Here are my 3 favorite designs from pinterest. You can probably see a pattern in what i like in a design.
Figure 1.1
Even though the design is simple, I love the contrast between the red, black, and white. The subject is placed in the top right corner, following the rule of thirds, which makes the layout feel balanced is placed in the top right corner, following the rule of thirds, which makes the layout feel balanced and visually appealing. The bold colors and clean composition make it stand out without being overwhelming.
Figure 1.2
This poster really stands out because of its bold design. The huge red "KINO" grabs your attention right away, especially against the darker background. I also like how simple it is. There's not too much going on, but the little sparks of orange add some energy. The way the text is laid out gives it a clean, modern look, and the dark silhoutte in the background adds a bit of mystery. It's eye-catching without trying too hard.
Figure 1.3
This poster for Omar Apollo's album "Ivory" really catches my eye because of its bold color choices and vintage vibe. The contrast between the large red text and the yellow-toned image gives it a retro feel, but the overall design is still fresh and modern. The way his name dominates the top half makes sure you know exactly who it's about, while the more subdued details about the album at the bottom balance it out nicely.
REFLECTION
Through this week, i learnt photoshop has a lot of tools and functions which is a bit overwhelming at first, but i know i can learn in the future. As i looked through pinterest, it took me quite a long time to find the designs that i actually liked. However when i found these three designs, i got to know more about what aspects i like in design. In this case, it's the color red and black. I find the accessible contrast in these designs really appealing when it has the color red and black.
