TASK

For this project, we were tasked to create an infographic poster based on one of Pasta Grannie's video. The video I have chosen is shown below:

I watched the video and took notes of its ingridients and steps for me to turn into an infographic poster later on.

INGRIDIENTS:

• 6 eggs
• Dark Cocoa powder
• Coffee
• A pinch of salt
• 500 gr mascarpone cheese
• 2tbsp Sambuca Liqueur
• Lady Fingers Biscuits
• 2 tbsp sugar

STEP BY STEP:

1. Separate 6 eggs with their white in different bowls, add a pinch of salt to the whites and whisk until soft, Put in fridge.
2. 2 tablespoons of sugar in the yellow eggs, whisk. Add 500 grams of mascarpone cheese, whisk till soft. Add 2 tbsp of sambuca liqueur to take away the egg smell.
3. Mix the white egg thats already firm in the fridge with the yellow egg mix with a spatula.
4. Spread thinly across the bottom of your dish.
5. Arrange 1 layer of  5 lady finger biscuits on top, making sure the sugar side is facing upwards. Feel free to cut it to fit your dish. 
6. Carefully spoon a coffee over each lady finger  biscuit. Avoid drenching all in coffee because it can be soggy.
7. Repeat Steps 4, 5 and 6 until you reach the top. 
8. Once you reach the top, add a final layer of cream, and sprinkle dark cocoa powder. Do this only if you want to eat it. Store In fridge for tomorrow!

Infographic Process

For the background, I went with a beige like color so its neutral and the texts can be seen. I placed the ingridients and titles first so I can have a visual on where I'd like it to be. To have more like an itaian feel, I added decorations on the top and bottom, along with red and green thin stripes. I made space for the title of the poster too.

For the icons, I got simple icons from pinterest that matches the title , and made sure to make it be uniform with each other, or else it'll look too off.

Finally, I added the tiramisu vector I found on pinterest, added a shadow underneath and a circle behind to emphasize, and added a smoke in the middle of the poster, so it acts like a guide throughout the recipe and all the way to the Tiramisu it self. I also added a little fun fact from the video at the bottom to fill the space.

REFLECTION

This assignment was a fun assignment to do because I've never had to create a poster from a youtube video. I think the hardest part is thinking on how to convey it as a poster form. But I manage to tackle it by listing all the Ingridients and steps first, and creating an initial sketch. From there, I start to do it in adobe illustrator because you cant solve it unless you start to do it. But overall, I think I created a pretty straightforward and easy to follow infographic poster to do.
